Journey on the Bernina Express
Spectacular views aboard the Bernina Red Train

The convoy travels, in about 2 1/2 hours, a 61-kilometer rail route to St. Moritz, with gradients of up to 7 per thousand and touching the maximum altitude at 2,253 meters above sea level at the Bernina Pass.
The Bernina railway, named a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is also of special interest from an engineering and architectural point of view with its covered tunnels and galleries, viaducts and bridges: the famous helical viaduct at Brusio stands out among them all, as well as the Landwasser viaduct and the Bergün-Preda spiral tunnels on the section to Chur.
