AN EXCURSION WITHIN EVERYBODY’S REACH
Val di Mello is one of those rare and magnificent destinations for a truly unforgettable outing.
Within the reach of young and old alike, the path meanders in a winding, level fashion through the valley, framed by rocky outcrops bearing splendidly fanciful names, where every now and then the voices of the rock-climbing fraternity, reverberate.
The excursion serves up some breathtaking views and engaging corners, where you can sit and admire a picture postcard of Nature at its most exuberant and wild.
The name is derived from the village of Mello, on the Costiera dei Cech. In past decades, the inhabitants brought livestock to Val di Mello to graze during the summer. And it was natural therefore that the valley should adopt its name from that of the Rhaetian landscapes.
To fully understand its beauty and vitality, you really should take the time to experience this magical and protected spot. Nature at its most unspoilt, guaranteed to astonish whichever season of the year!
And the beauty is that in Val di Mello you get about only on foot. You can walk the length and breadth, or simply go for a stroll and then sit and enjoy the gentle course of the river, the scents of its woodlands and the cornucopia of natural colours all around.
Just get your trusty legs into gear, or indeed rely on your perfectly natural desire to relax!!
